Celtics vs Lakers

Saturday, May 31 2008 -- 1983-1984.
That's the season that I discovered NBA basketball and, in particular, the Boston Celtics. I was 20 years old... a bit of a late bloomer as a basketball fan (baseball had always been my sport of choice.)
But the Celtics were so beautiful to watch during that season - spectacular passing, great team play, and the great shooting of Larry Bird, all behind the coaching of K.C. Jones.
And in the Championship finals for that seasno - the Celtics vs the Lakers. Larry Bird vs Magic Johnson.
The magic ended for the Celtics after the 1985-86 season, when their highly touted pick Len Bias died unexpectedly, and they were never able to recover.
But after 21 years, the Celtics are back in the hunt for another title, and it's only fitting that they're going to vie for this title against their perennial rivals, the Los Angeles Lakers.
Let's get it on!
