Clarke, Bingle heading for splitsvilla

Wednesday, March 10, 2010 -- The engagement between Australia cricketer Michael Clarke and Lara Bingle may be over.

The middle-order Aussie batsman and T20I captain, who had rushed home in the middle of the tour of New Zealand may be calling off his engagement after nude photographs of Bingle with her former boyfriend Brendan Fevola were leaked to a magazine.

Clarke, who is the current vice-captain of the Australian side, rushed back home after taking an indefinite leave of absence from the side, but it is not sure whether he will continue with the model. It has been said that the cricketer has been increasingly “distressed and angry with the "off-field" media attention” with the kind of media attention that h is getting, and would be glad to be away from all of it.

Bingle’s photograph was from those times when she was having an affair with the Aussie Rules Football player, who was already married.

Bingle is being told to negotiate a lucrative deal with the same magazine to present her side of the story, while she has also been offered a $1 million to act in a reality show recently.
