Thursday's victory over the Colorado Rockies gave the Chicago Cubs the best record in Major League Baseball at 33-21. The win was the Cubs' fourth in a row.
The Cubs trailed as late as the seventh inning, but drove in 5 runs in the bottom halves of the 7th and 8th to put the game away. Three of those runs were unearned as Colorado pitcher Matt Herges made two throwing errors that ended up costing his team the game.
Ironically, the Rockies' loss gave them the worst record in baseball, while giving the Cubs the best record in the league.
