Ladies Singles, R1 Match 35 Lenglen May 26, 2008- Marion Bartoli drops momentum and quality play with her match versus Casey Dellacqua in the French Open. Dellacqua finishes Bartoli with a 6-7(4-7) 6-3 6-2.
Bartoli is currently seeded in the 9th rank for women's tennis singles while Dellacqua is out casted, this confidence made Bartoli complaisant to Dellacqua, thinking she can always overpower her.
Dellacqua commits 26 spontaneous errors in the first set of which Bartoli took advantage that brought them into tie-break. Lenglen court fans were filled with excitement and fun cheering for their bet Bartoli who did well and won the round.
However, the overwhelming confidence of Bartoli had brought her down leaving the 23-year-old Dellacqua from Australia in the advantage and perseveringly made her clean moves for the second set.
Dellacqua graciously garnered victory over Bartoli who should have taken advantage of her home court. Bartoli loses more matches in her home ground than winning who even shows struggle in coping with augmented expectation.
Bartoli is best remembered to have defeated Justine Henin in the semi-finals that caused great upset for Henin's great number of fans following her tournament's history.
Many thinks that Bartoli needs to stand out and work on her grace to play in her home soil.
