Many are speculating now as to how “indefinite” his leave is as after a month, his camp has become more silent than usual after the scandal that made Woods the topic of daily news and spoofs. So the question everyone wants to be answered now is whether Woods will be back for the Masters, which begins in April 8.

A PGA insider believes that the end Woods “indefinite” leave will not be far off. He said that “There’s serious talk of being ready for the Masters. It’s an exclusive event, Tiger has history there, it’s the perfect venue for a comeback and the crowd is very controlled.”

According to longtime friend and golfer John Cook, whether Woods will come back without delay will depend on whether or not he will patch things up with his wife Elin. Cook said, “If he and Elin decide to work it out, it could take a long time.” He added though, “If they decide not to stay together, I think he goes out pretty quick… If he works on the emotional things he needs to heal, I could see 2011. It wouldn’t surprise me at all.”

The Masters begins April 8, and his participation is being given consideration regardless of the status of Tiger and Elin’s marriage. “It’s better for him if he gets out there sooner rather than later,” said the source. “Elin is a priority to him still, but so is his career.”
