Wednesday, September 9, 2009 -- Reigning Italian champions Inter Milan would be leaving the San Siro for their own stadium in 2014, according to the club's owner Massimo Moratti.
It has been revealed that plans are being hatched by Inter to construct a brand new 65,000-seater capacity stadium. The stadium will be located in Pero, north-east of Milan and will cost the Nerazzurri around 400 million euros.
Inter and city-rivals AC Milan have shared the San Siro since the 1940s and Inter president Massimo Moratti believes that it is time for the clubs to go on their separate ways.
As for the name, Moratti hints that the stadium will honour Nerazzurri Legend Giacinto Facchetti, as he is the symbol of the club.
