Sunday, August 16, 2009 -- Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard has once again expressed his wish to win the Premier League with his club.
Liverpool have not won the league title in England in the Premier League and last season finished second after leading the table for quite some time. Club captain Steven Gerrard says that he is desperate to win the league and aims to do so with his team this season.
The England international has been quoted by the News of the World as saying:
“I'm desperate to get that photo of me with my teammates holding the Premier League trophy. It does play on my mind how many years I've left to win it. I've turned 29 now, so I know time isn't on my side, but it's important I don't get obsessed by it.”
