Spanish sports daily Marca reports that Premiership outfits Chelsea are desperately seeking the services of the Liverpool striker Fernando Torres. The Madrid-based Spain's highest sports daily also reports that Chelsea owner Roman Avramovich is eager to splash out as much as 50 million euros for the player this summer.

Chelsea owner Roman Avramovich has already declared that he shall wring several changes in the squad to make Chelsea play more entertaining and attractive football and Marca states that the Russian oligarch has set his eyes on the Liverpool matador.

Fernando Torres has been the best striker in the Premiership and that becomes more enticing when you consider that he is in his first season in England. Torres breathtaking skills and goalscoring ability seem to have enchanted Roman and the Russian billionaire is now eager to buy the player.

Not that landing Torres at Stamford Bridge would be an easy task. The 23-year old former Atletico Madrid player has consistently said that he loves playing at Anfield and that he loves the Kop. Moreover, he has the fatherf igure Rafael Benitez at Liverpool. So convincing Torres to move to London would be quite difficult, to say the least.
