Friday, June 26, 2009 -- Portuguese ace Cristiano Ronaldo has signed a six-year contract with Spanish and European giants Real Madrid and will be officially presented on July 6.
Real Madrid had earlier lodged a 93 million euro bid for the services of the Ballon d'Or and FIFA Player of the Year which Manchester United had accepted. The player himself has now accepted personal terms with Madrid and is now officially a Blanco.
A statement on Real Madrid's official website read:
"Real Madrid CF and Manchester United have confirmed a definitive agreement for the transfer of the player Cristiano Ronaldo, to take place on July 1.
"The player will be tied to Real Madrid for the next six seasons and will be presented on the 6th of July at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium."

Ronaldo and Kaka together. That will be something to watch out for. Blistering Pace from both... Quick feet from Ronaldo... Slalom runs by Kaka... Sensational finishes by Ronaldo.... Deft finishes by Kaka.... Amazing...
One would almost forget that they still have Raul, Nistelrooij, Robben, Guti, Van Der Vaart, Schneider, etc. in their ranks....
