According to reports in the British press, Manchester United are planning to airlift Brazilian striker Luis Fabiano from Sevilla FC at the end of the season. These reports suggest that United's European scouts have recommended the player to manager Sir Alex Ferguson.
Luis Fabiano has scored 33 goals in 38 appearances for Sevilla so far this season and has developed into one of the most prolific strikers in the game. Sevilla has tagged him with a 44 million euro price but the player has a release clause as paultry as 7 million euro.
This implies that Man United can afford to sign the Sevilla FC hitman and still have enough money in their piggy bank to seek other reinforcements to their side for next season. But Man United do have to whisker off the likes of FC Barcelona, Real Madrid and Manchester City among others to get the player's prized signature.
