Zidane Hints At Madrid Return

Thursday, May 14, 2009 -- Former Real Madrid star Zinedine Zidane has given a hint that he might like to return to his former club.

Former Madrid president Florentino Perez formally announced his candicature on Thursday. Three other candidates are also lined up but Perez is expected to win the elections with ease.

Former Madrid player and one of the former Galacticos Zidane has expressed his desire to help Madrid regain their old stature. In an interview with AS, the French legend said:

"I am convinced that the people that will work with him will be the right ones. I am always in contact with him, not just about the elections, and even though he has not asked me, I am always here to help because I want to be with Real Madrid

He is going to change the image of Madrid so that it is back to what it was and what it should be. There are many things to do and to work on."
