With only 11 matches to go for the IPL league stages, every match’s result is worth its weight in gold; and even at this stage of the tournament, it is difficult to decide on the semi-final line-up. Delhi Daredevils may have qualified for the semi-finals, but won’t want to lose their momentum by turning up complacent against Kings Xi Punjab. The Kings, on the other hand, will need to play out of their skins to get the better of a team which is currently on the roll.
The Kings will heavily rely on the batting prowess of Yuvraj Singh which has to be on full blast. On the other hand, Kumar Sangakkara and Mahela Jayawardene have done enough for the Sports Pundit IPL Fantasy experts to take notice, but whether that is enough to get them into the playing eleven is a question mark. I would, instead, prefer one of the two; A.B. de Villiers or T.Dilshan. The rationale behind this is that either of the two have shown to be in good form in all the matches and will be worth it.
Virender Sehwag had dropped himself down the roder in the match against Deccan Chargers in a desperate move to fin form, but did not find the sweet part of the bat too often. My sense is that he will promote himself up the order in this match.
From the bowling perspective, Ashish Nehra was taken for runs in the previous game, but then it also included a few lucky inside-edges and a dropped catch or two. Talking of the Kings, Brett Lee has returned from injury, and could be the player to watch out for. Sreesanth’s bowling may be a strict no-no for the Sports Pundit IPL Fantasy experts, instead, I will go with Ramesh Powar who seems to have bowled much better than Piyush Chawla. Chawla has shown a penchant to go for runs.
