The great pair: Woods and Peyton in Pro-am

Tuesday, May 12, 2009 -- A crouching Tiger Woods was seen behind the ball and eyed the cup with his steely glare. After which he stood up and moved forward, and finally placed his putter to the left hole.

“Bad read” these words caused the crowd to overflow with laughter which was surrounding the 15th green.

This was all part of the smiles and good times as the World’s number one golfer played an 18 hole with his buddy, the three-time NFL MVP, in Quail Hollow Championship pro-am last Wednesday.

Woods was very much happy to share that though they do not get a chance to do it very often due to schedules and seasons overlapping and most often at the wrong time. That’s why it spells FUN when they get a chance to have opportunities like this.

This was the second time that Woods was not the sole attraction and was not the only one on the lime light, the grouping of the superstars marked as the second time and was the tournaments attraction before it could start.

A similar scene also unfolded as Peyton Manning’s presence was there while fans were waiting for Woods to clear the green. They surrounded Manning who was wearing the number 18 jersey and had Colts helmets to sign. There were also a number of orange crowds, because Manning’s Alma matter which was in Tennessee was only a four-hour drive away.

Woods exclaimed “whether it’s Peyton or when I played out here with MJ, we have fun and that’s the thing…These guys are my friends, and it’s great to play with friends.”
