Chelsea are being touted to import a number of high profile players in the summer as club owner Roman Abramovich looks to have decided on a massive revamp at the end of the season.

One of the players whom the London Blues are being linked with is the Bayern Munich midfielder Franck Ribery. The French international midfielder was signed by the German Bundesliga club only last summer but the temperamental genius has come of age to become the most important player in the Batern Munich set-up.

Now Chelsea want him. The rumour is that the Blues are ready to offload Florent Malouda in a deal that they hope will see Franck Ribery come to Stamfrd Bridge. Malouda too is a French international winger but the player has failed to settle in the Chelsea side and has made only 14 starts this season.

But it is unlikely that Ribery would like to leave the Allianz Arena in the summer. Of course he does boast about himself as being a footballing journey but he is playing the best football of his life at Bayern Munich who are one the verge of winning the Bundesliga and the UEFA Cup and Ribery might not be seduced away from Bavaria for the time being.
