Monday, April 28 2008 -- Getafe could only draw 1-1 with Atletico Madrid at home on Sunday in La Liga and remain just 4 points above the relegation zone in 13th. Getafe coach Michael Laudrup was certainly disappointed with the draw but insisted that a point against fourth spot chasing Atletico was quite good.
Laudrup told a press conference:
"The draw serves us at this stage as points are expensive.
"But in this match a draw was a little bit harsh on us. We did well, especially in the second half."
Getafe's 3-1 defeat to Valencia in the Copa del Rey final two weeks ago appear to have shoved them into some sort of depression. Getafe have lost their old flavour and are stuttering in the league and coach Laudrup knows that they need to increase the gap between themselves and the bottom three.
