Wednesday, February 11, 2009 -- Mo Williams has finally entered the All Star roster for the first time. As Chris Bosh, the Toronto Raptors forward, was injured, the NBA Commissioner David Stern has selected Williams as Bosh’s replacement.
Outburst of players
Williams remarked that he was very thrilled after the selection. He feels that it is a great thing to happen and now nobody can deprive him of this chance. He would now join LeBron James for Sunday’s game in Phoenix. James remarked that his advice for a player who is an All-Star for the first time is that when such a player makes his first shot, it feels as if one is shooting a medicine ball. So, James recommends that such a player should not shoot an air ball. He added that Williams would receive some guidance from him this weekend. James disclosed that when he learnt the news of Williams’ selection, he was astonished that Mo did not call and intimate him regarding it. So, he called Williams. James feels that this is the news that all his team desired. Prior to Mo’s selection, the teammates of Cleveland Cavaliers were complaining that their’s was the sole team in the top five that lacked more than one All-Star player. James felt that it was a “total smack in the face.”Performance of Williams
Mo Williams is the point guard of Cleveland Cavaliers. Presently, he has an average of 17.1 points per game. His presence in the team has raised hopes that the Cleveland Cavaliers would put an end to the 45 year deficiency of any major championship of Cleveland in any sport.Rate this article
