Brazilian international midfielder Diego appears to have made up his mind about his club future. The 23-year old says that he shall remain at German side Werder Bremen for the three more years of his contract and has crushed all rumours of himself moving elsewhere.
A host of top European clubs, such as Real Madrid, Inter Milan and Juventus all have been eager to land the player in the summer but it now seems that all their high hopes have been dampened.
Diego says:
"I've played my best years since joining Werder, getting back into the national team.
"I feel really good here and I don't see why I should leave.
"I still have three years on my contract. Perhaps I'll stay until the end and I want to be here for at least another season."
This just helps to reveal the loyalty and noble mentality of Diego. Everyone knows that Bremen actually rescued Diego from FC Porto where he was at his nadir and frankly Diego owes the club for helping him reinvent into the Santos Diego.
