In the recent week, after the first three games were over, he had the following numbers 29.3 points per game (ppg), 12.6 rpg (rebounds per game) and 9.3 assists per game (apg). However, his performance against Orlando Magic was not up to the mark. In the current season, he has a field goal percentage of 0.490 and free throw percentage of 0.768. His statistics are 27.8 ppg, 7.5 rpg, 7 apg, 2 spg (steals per game) and 1.3 bpg (blocks per game). Cavs have a team record of 35-9.
Kobe Bryant
Kobe Bryant of Los Angeles Lakers has attained the No. 2 spot. The Lakers, who have a team record of 35-9, sealed 4 consecutive victories which included an imposing win over the Spurs, but blew a home game to the Bobcats. The team had to face defeat at the hands of Minnesota Timberwolves, but Paul assisted his team to rebound back. While playing against the Sixers, he dropped 10 boards, 15 dimes and 27 points as well as 7 steals. In the current month, this was his second triple-double. His figures were 0.2 bpg, 2.8 spg, 11.1 apg, 5.4 rpg and 21.1 ppg. His field goal percentage was 0.496 and free throw percentage was 0.870.While discussing MVPs, it must be kept in mind that the best statistics are not a guarantee to be chosen as the MVP. In the 2007-08 season, LeBron James had figures of 7.2 apg, 7.9 rpg, 30 ppg, but he MVP was Kobe Bryant with figures of 5.4 apg, 6.3 rpg and 28.3 ppg.
