Swedes in international hockey

Sunday, December 10, 2006 -- Every hockey fan has heard their names; Sundin, Forsberg etc. But why are there so many Swedes among the top international hockey teams?

One theory is of course that the cold, hockey-friendly climate of Sweden gives Swedes an advantage. But not all countries with a lot of snow produce that many top hockey pros. The answer could perhaps be found in the rough, rugged attitude that is so common among many people in northern Sweden.
