FC Barcelona host Manchester United in the first-leg of the UEFA Champions League semi-final tie between the two sides at Camp Nou on Wednesday and the build up to the match is already gathering momentum.
Barcelona are supposedly the underdog against the reigning Premiership champions Manchester United in this mouth-watering clash but the Blaugrana striker Samuel Eto'o is not getting intimidated by such media hype. The Cameroonian international says that he does respect Man United and their manager Sir Alex Ferguson but insists that they can still beat United.
Samuel Eto'o remarks:
"I have the same respect for Manchester United that I hope they have for us. Sure United are favourites, but that just motivates me even more, and we'll see what happens.
"Ferguson is one of the best in the world, but he hasn't always been winning titles. Here there's a different culture to England.
"When things go bad here, people want sackings."
The Champions League is the last straw by which Frank Rijkaard's side can rescue their season as they have virtually lost La Liga to Real Madrid. And to go through to the final, Barca need to win their home leg against Man United by at least 2 goals and also take care that they do not concede any goals at Camp Nou on Wednesday night.
