Monday, April 21 2008 -- Liverpool have been morally boosted by the news that their Captain Fantastic Steven Gerrard would be available for the first leg of their semi-final tie in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday.
Steven Gerrard missed Liverpool's 2-0 win over Fulham in the Premiership on Saturday with a neck injury and there were considerable fears that he could miss the Anfield clash on Tuesday. But Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez says that Gerrard has recovered and is back in training:
"He is fit. He was training this morning and so he is okay."
Now Chelsea have their work cut out against the Reds and manager Avram Grant would have to come up with something special for Stevie G. The good thing that Chelsea is that their very own talisman Frank Lampard is back from injury and is set to feature against Liverpool on Tuesday.
