Monday, December 29, 2008 -- It was a wild day in the NFL, all 34 teams have played their 16 games each and the results are final. Here is a thumbnail sketch of who is in and who is out.

The Carolina Panthers are the winners of the NFC South and also earned a first-round bye.
The Arizona Cardinals are the champs of the NFC West. The Minnesota Vikings secured the NFC North.
The NFC Wild-Cards go to two bird teams—the Atlanta Falcons and Philadelphia Eagles.
NFC teams that will be watching the playoffs at home include the Detroit Lions, St. Louis Rams, San Francisco 49ers, Seattle Seahawks, Green Bay Packers, New Orleans Saints, Washington Redskins, Chicago Bears, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Dallas Cowboys.
The Pittsburgh Steelers took the AFC North and get a first-round bye.
The Miami Dolphins are the AFC East champs. The San Diego Chargers are the best in the AFC West.
