Wednesday, December 10, 2008 -- The Cleveland Cavaliers defeated the Toronto Raptors by a score of 114-94 on 9th December 2008. They have now created a record of being triumphant in 9 consecutive games by minimum 12 points. What is significant is not only what they play but also how they play.
The players of the Cavaliers score from inside and out; they hit the open man and cut to the basket. During defense, they block shots, step in the passing lanes, procure stops when they desire so and take charges. In a nutshell, they display a level of basic basketball that is close to perfection. Such an inspiring play has now substituted the predictable and boring offense that was extant in this club about half a year back. The fans of this club are very excited viewing their favorite players perform.. At the moment, the Cavaliers have proved themselves to be the deepest squad in the league. This is not an exaggeration despite the fact that it cannot be claimed that the players are the most talented when compared with their contemporaries. A thing worth noting is that they genuinely play together and this is far important than aptitude. All the players on the field appear very unselfish and they work in harmony. It seems that every player knows beforehand where his team member would be and hence can deliver the ball at the appropriate moment wherever required.
