Chelsea manager Avram Grant is only in his first season at Stamford Bridge but he has already received much stick in his back for his team's inability to take matches by the scruff of the neck.
Yet the Israeli doesn't swallow the humble pie and what's more he throws the hint that the London Blues might just land Kaka or Lionel Messi at the Bridge in the summer. Avram Grant says:
"We need to do something. We want to be more consistent and of course I need players who can help with thisWill it take a flair player like Kaka or Messi? I will not reject that one of those names will be here.
"Will they come? I think so, yes. This is a big club.
"It's not about how many players - it's about which player you can bring.
"We want a different style of football. If a player is good for this, we want to take him.
"I am already planning. We're speaking about it all the time for the long and short-term."
Sorry Grant, but it is unlike that either Kaka or Lionel Messi would like to play at Chelsea.
But he is right about one thing. Chelsea need to play more entertaining football than they have done and that is why club owner Roman Abramovich is so very eager to renovate Chelsea in the summer.
