Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez has once again assured the Kop that he has no intension of leaving Anfield anytime soon. The Boardroom fiasco and the ongoing ownership battle between Tom Hicks and George Gillett has shed a large, gray cloud over the managerial tenure of Rafa, who has often be speculated to be sacked at the end of the season.
But the Spaniard has reassured the Liverpool supporters that he is not mood to step down from his job at the moment. The Reds play Fulham away from home in the Premiership and Rafa says:
"I was preparing the team for Fulham. The players have shown they are professionals, they are focused and concentrated on playing games.
"At this moment I have two years of contract. I am really pleased and happy here and I want to stay."
Indeed Rafael Benitez is the one sole reason why Liverpool have yet to disintegrate and fall apart like a pack of cards.
