Ronaldo suffered a horrible knee injury last season while he was at Italian giants AC Milan last season. The former FC Barcelona and Real Madrid striker's contract with the Milan giants expired at the end of last season and he has been without a club since.

Ronaldo has been linked with the likes of Brazilian powerhouse Flamengo, Premiership high-spenders Manchester City and French side Paris Saint Germain. He has himself admitted that he would like to join hs Brazilian international teammate Robinho at Man City.

Speaking in an interview with the Italian sports daily Gazzetta dello Sport, Ronaldo said:

"I feel great now. This is a good moment for me and the rehabilitation is going really well. If I compared this injury to the other I suffered to the right knee, I have to admit that after eight months I did not feel as good. I will probably resume training with Flamengo next Monday.

"There is a connection between me and Flamengo, they are my favourite team and hope I can settle down here, but this will remain just a dream, for I don't think I'm going to make any decision now."
