Liverpool Snubs Man City Offer

According to the Madrid-based Spanish sports daily Marca, Manchester City supremo Sulaiman Al Fahim was hugely impressed by Torres' double striker against his Man City strike at the weekend and is now eager to land the player at the City of Manchester Stadium.

Al Fahim is the Premiership face of the Abu Dhabi based ADUG which took over the Eastlands club last month and has already promised a number of key signings in the immediate future for the Premier League club.

According to Marca, Al Fahim actually made contact with Torres' management team Bahia after the weekend's match to inquire about the availability of the Euro 2008 winner with Spain. But Fernando Torres has snubbed this offer via his management unit and has reportedly said that no amount of money would seduce him to the City of Manchester Stadium.

Fernando Torres is arguably the best striker in the Premier League at the moment and is one of Liverpool's most reliable players.
