Thursday, October 9 2008 -- according to the respected Italian sports daily Il Corriere Dello Sport, Italian powerhouse and former European champions AC Milan are seriously looking to lure midfielder Cesc Fabregas and right back Sergio Ramos from Arsenal and Real Madrid respectively.
It has been reported that Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani is seriously contemplating signing the Spanish duo in January although he might as well opt to wait until the summer of 2009.
Milan have been quite busy in the summer transfer market, snapping up Ronaldinho and Gianluca Zambrotta from Spanish powerhouse FC Barcelona. Milan are now eager to reinforce their squad for an assault on both the Italian Serie A and the UEFA Champions League next season.
Not that importing either player to the red-and-black half of Milan would be easy. Real Madrid have pasted a price-tag of a massive 120 million euros on Ramos while Fabregas, always insisting that he would remain at the Emirates at least for now, would not be very easy to acquire either.
