2010: Expected full recovery of Woods

Sunday, October 5 2008 -- October 3, 2008 – The great Tiger Woods has said that football players who have undergone the same kind of knee surgery that he had are usually not yet fully recovered and playing at their best for at least two years.

Although Woods is clearly not a football player, the surgery that caused him to sit out the rest of his current season will probably be around 85 percent recovered by the time he returns to the golfing scene. He says he does not see any reason why he cannot return to the level of play that gave him nine victories out of twelve events while playing this year.

A week after he won the U.S. Open which was held at Torrey Pines, Woods underwent a knee surgery that is supposed to rebuild his anterior cruciate ligament located in his left knee. According to Woods, if the knee heals normally, he should be able to swing a club in January, but not until then.

Woods aims to have his body back in good healthy shape by 2009, and hopefully at high level. He has said that the past nine months of recent competition was the best stretch yet in his career.

While much has been happening in the golfing scene while he is away, Woods is quite curious as to what he could have done during the season if he did not have his knee surgery.
