Wednesday, April 16 2008 -- Chelsea are supposedly planning a massive overhaul in the summer after one more season when they would lose out on the Premiership title. Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is said to have embarked on revamping this entire squad at the end of the season.
Top players are expected to be chucked out in the summer as Abramovich tends to make his side more entertaining and consistent. The likes of Andriy Shevchenko, Shaun Wright-Philips, Claudio Pizarro, Steve Sidwell and Tal Ben-Haim all anticipated to play in colours other than those of Chelsea next season.
Striker Didier Drogba is also expected to leave Stamford Bridge as both FC Barcelona and AC Milan have expressed keen interest in signing the player for next season. Frank Lampard too is unhappy at the situation at the club and might also head for the exit door.
As for manager Avram Grant, the situation is a bit complicated. Avramovich is ready to offer the Israeli one full season to prove himself but at the same time the Russian is also eager to try someone else would play the fantasy football that Avramovich wanted to observe when he bought Chelsea.
