It has been reported that Comolli, who is being severely criticized by the Spurs supporters, is soon to be sacked by north London club. Spurs are currently among the bottom three and have yet to gain their first victory in the new Premier League season.

Spurs supporters have blamed Comolli for their poor start to their season. They have linked him with the departure of star striker Dimitar Berbatov in the summer to reigning premier League and European champions Manchester United and have also blamed him for not replacing the star Bulgarian international.

It has now been reported that with David Comolli almost certain to be subtracted from the White Hart Lane equation, former Spurs manager Terry Venables would be drafted into the system. El Tel is a huge favourite among the Spurs fans and was earlier in charge of the north London club for four years and led the to FA Cup glory.

Venables had earlier rejected the offer to manager another struggling Premiership club Newcastle United a few days ago.
