Tuesday, September 2 2008 -- Reigning Italian champions Inter Milan have eventually signed the Portuguese international winger Ricardo Quaresma from Portuguese giants FC Porto, just a day after denying that they were looking to sign the player.
At the weekend Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti admitted that the former Sporting Lisbon and FC Barcelona winger would not arrive at the San Siro but on Monday, the club announced the signing of the player for 18 million euros.
As part of the deal, Portuguese youngster Victor Hugo Pele moved in the opposite direction to Porto on a permanent deal. Quaresma is Inter Milan’s third major recruit in the summer after the signing of Sulley Muntari and Amatino Mancini earlier in the summer.
