Tuesday, September 2 2008 -- In what has shocked the footballing world, Premiership mid-tablers Manchester City have pulled off the coup of signing the disgruntled Robinho from Real Madrid for a British transfer record of 42 million euros.
Robinho had given a press conference on Sunday declaring that he wanted to move out of the Bernabeu and specifically said that he wanted to move to Premiership giants Chelsea.
But Real Madrid did not want to let go of Robinho to Chelsea and when Manchester City, acquired by the Abu Dhabi based Abu Dhabi Group for Development and Investment on September 1 came in with a 42 million euro offer, Real Madrid couldn’t resist that money and decided to seel Robinho to Man City.
Now the question is whether Robinho stays at Man City for a long time or for moves off after a season?
