Saturday, August 30 2008 -- There were only 3 games in the WNBA on Friday.
The Chicago Sky, who had played the night before, nevertheless managed to win again, defeating the Washington Mystics in a close game, 79-75.
The Connecticut Sun, who had also played in a game the night before, also won, 98-72.
And the New York Liberty, who had also played the night before, lost to the Detroit Shock, 83-69.
While there's certainly nothing wrong with teams playing back-to-back games, one would have thought that the other teams that had also had long lay-offs should have been the ones to play on Friday, giving their long-waiting fans something to look forward to!
