Saturday, August 30 2008 -- The WNBA returned to action on Thursday, August 28, after a more than 2-week pause for players to return to their prospective countries in order to participate in the Olympics.
Five games were held on Thursday.
The Connecticut Sun beat the Indiana Fever, 84-58.
The Seattle Storm defeated the Houston Comets, 66-49.
The Los Angeles Sparks (the team with the most players on the US Women's Olympic roster) beat the Sacrametno Monarchs, 78-63.
The Chicago Sky beat the New York Liberty, 69-60.
And the San Antonio Silver Stars, the hottest WNBA team going into the break, continued their winning ways, defeating the Phoenix Mercury, 77-55.
