Wednesday, August 20 2008 -- It's the Homecoming of Andriy Shevchenko, the Ukranian superstar considered to be a huge flop at Premiership giants Chelsea. It has been revealed that Sheva is well and truly on his way to AC Milan.
Sheva was signed by Chelsea from AC Milan in the summer of 2006 for 30 million pounds but he failed to hit anywhere near decent form at Stamford Bridge in two seasons and is considered a mega flop in the English Premier League.
After much speculation for over a year, it has finally be finalized---well, almost finalized---that the 30-something UEFA Champions League winner shall return to Milan this summer. Milan director Silvano Ramaccioni has declared that MIlan are almost through with a deal to sign their old darling back from [{Chelsea]]/
“We are close to the end of the deal,” the director told Radio Goal.
“I hope these little things that have to be done are done as soon as possible.”
Andriy Shevchenko won the UEFA Champions League with Milan in 2003.
