Monday, August 11 2008 -- According to reports emanating from Spain, Spanish and European giants Real Madrid are hell bent on signing a top draw striker before the summer transfer window slams shut at the end of this month.

Real Madrid coach Bernd Schuster has reportedly asked his bosses at Real Madrid to get a new striker for the upcoming 2008-2009 season, All this summer the Merengues have been chasing the Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo but now that that move has fallen off, Schuster wants to add a new centre forward.

Real Madrid already have the likes of Raul, Ruud van Nistelrooy and Javier Pedro Saviola in their strikeforce plus a couple of cantera players but Real Madrid are now gunning for Ajax star Huntelaar and Valencia superstar David Villa.

Schuster has asked his Real Madrid directors to get him either of these players as he looks set to launch a bid for the UEFA Champions League crown as well as retain their Spanish league trophy.
