Thursday, August 7 2008 -- English Premier League giants Chelsea have reportedly launched a massive bid for the Brazilian star Robinho, currently at the Spanish and European giants Real Madrid.

According to latest reports emanating from Spain, Chelsea have launched a bid of a mammoth 25 million euros for the 24-year old Brazilian international striker who himself admitted last week that he had held talks with Chelsea.

All this summer Real Madrid have been touted to sign Cristiano Ronaldo from Manchester United and according to confirmed reports, Robinho was being used as the bait for the Ronaldo catch. Robinho knew that and instantly demanding a release from the Bernabeu.

Now of course Real's bid to sign Ronaldo has fallen flat. But Robinho still wants a move away from the Bernabeu this summer as he has seemingly lost his faith in Real. Chelsea's bid might be instantly accepted by Real but Robinho might just be able to convince Real Madrid that his future lies at Chelsea.
